Hello and welcome to my website.  I understand you are interested in a career in modeling or acting.  Perhaps you have some questions…

Q. How to get started?

Models, actors and other entertainers get started by marketing themselves with photographs.  A nice commercial headshot with a beautiful smile and a more serious style headshot with a slightly dramatic look will get you started with a legitimate talent agency.

If you are interested in acting, ask your agent for a referral to a qualified acting coach and invest a few hours and some money to help you with auditions.  If the coach is good, this is money well spent, and your agent will love your initiative.

Other than photographs and the (optional) acting coach, you shouldn't have to spend money.  No legitimate agent will ever ask for money for promo fees, publicity fees or listing fees!  There is no gray area here.  Legitimate agents earn a commission only when they find you work.

So remember, headshots to get the agent; then, if necessary, a good coach to help you with acting auditions.

Q. What will headshots cost?

I charge $299 for a headshot package, which includes 4 changes of clothing, no pre set limit to the number of photos taken, copyright for both print and web, all your photos on a CD, and two retouched digital 8 x 10's with your name on the bottom.  I have other packages which are more elaborate.  All my prices are published at the end of this page.

Q. Why so many changes/looks?

Because agents want to see as much diversity in your 'look' as you can give them.  They want to see 'range' so they know which auditions are best for you.  Here are some example of 'range:' young parent; sophisticate; college student; villain; homemaker; executive, vamp. 

Q. Can I bring a friend to the photo session?

If you are under 18, you must bring a parent.  If you are over 18, you are welcome to bring one friend to your session.

Q. What happens after the shoot?

Once your session is complete, it takes me about an hour to edit the photos and burn your CD.  This is when you choose the two photos you want to use as headshots.  One of the headshots should be with a nice smile, suitable for commercial usage; one photo should show a more serious or dramatic look.  You go home with your CD, ready to book your appointment with an agent and get started on your dream.

They will take a commission from your wages only if they find you work.  They will not ask for promotional fees, booking fees, service charges, etc.  They earn a living by getting you jobs.
