What is the difference between Glamour and Boudoir?
My Glamour portraits are very sensual;
Poses are designed to show you from the waist up;
Clothing can include formal wear as well as lingerie;
Glamour portraits are characterized by allure, confidence and desirability.
My Glamour sessions also include sensuous facial portraits.

Boudoir (also called Intimate Portraits):
My Boudoir portraits include full, half and partial body poses;
Boudoir portraits are characterized by sexuality and sensuality;
Lingerie and/or artfully draped fabrics are the norm;
At your request, I will photograph you partially or fully nude.
 
Examples of Boudoir Portraits
Can you do retouching?
Absolutely! The result is you, only better. Each boudoir portrait is fully edited and enhanced to take away spider veins, cellulite, blemishes, uneven tan lines... anything you consider undesirable.
What about poses? I don’t know what to do.
Don’t worry; designing poses, and giving you direction is what I do best. I'll create artful, sensuous boudoir and glamour poses that flatter your figure. I’ll show you sample poses as we go along, so you can be involved in the process. You’ll have fun doing this, and you DON’T have to be a professional model. My clients are real people, just like you. Brides-to-be, mothers, women starting over, women celebrating their 30's, 40's, 50's and... I know what is age appropriate, and I know how to photograph the sensuality of a youthful woman as well as the charming allure of a woman in middle age.
What about hair and make-up styling?
I work with a talented, fully licensed hair & makeup artist. If you’d like to use her services,
come with clean, lightly moisturized face - Maria has everything you can imagine. (If you have
skin or hair sensitivities, please feel free to bring your own cosmetics and styling products
and Maria will work with those.)
If your hair is very fine, don’t wash it the day of the session. Fine hair styles better the day after shampooing. If your hair is heavier, it’s all right to wash it that morning.
If you are doing your own hair and make-up, here are three suggestions:
- use a little more mascara than you generally do;
- wear matte lipstick in a slightly darker color than normal;
- bring powder to touch up shine.
Can I Bring A Friend?
By all means, bring your best friend, your maid of honor, your sister… I once had a client bring her mom! Having another woman with you enhances the QGT. (Quality Girl Time) Or better still, host a Pinup Party with three or more friends. http://www.ElenaRosePhotography.com/prices.html#pinup)
What about jewelry?
If you have a signature piece, bring it. As a rule, however, subtle jewelry works best. The strength of your boudoir portrait is in your expression.
How many photos can I choose from?
During individual portrait sessions I produce about 50 photos from which to choose. Arriving on time, feeling energetic, and transitioning smoothly from one outfit to another will give me time to take the maximum number of portraits. Participants in Pin Up Parties will receive about 20 portraits from which to choose.
Do you require a deposit?
A deposit of $150 is required as payment towards your session.
Cancellation Policy?
Please let me know as soon as possible if you need to reschedule or cancel your session. If you cancel within 48 hours, your deposit is forfeit; however, if you rebook, I can apply it one time toward another appointment.
Payment?
Balance of payment is due the day of the session. I accept check, cash, travelers’ checks, money orders and credit cards.
Can I preview my photos on the Internet?
A week or so after your session, I’ll send you a link and a password to your private online
album. If you have a deadline, let me know when you book your appointment and I’ll do everything possible to accommodate your schedule.
